Q.
My baby is having cough since a month we went to doctor twice he gave some surup but then too it's not cured and when he cough he vomits please some one help me out

Saba ShadabMom of a 4 yr 11 m old boy3 years agoA. hey mom only give medicine for cough for now stop giving antibiotics (that dr has prescribed along with cough syrup) and yes start to give nebulizer and if u dnt hv that try giving indirect steam..n dont offer any fruit juice or sugary item..keep your baby warm nd rub mustard oil on his chest nd head nd ear ear areas...dnt panic do all this thing it will help

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitkoussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

You Start nebulising your child that will give you better results as of now and apart from the medicines and nebulisation go for a home remedy where in you can give mixture of ginger juice and honey to your child twice a day and do not give water on top of that for at least half an hour
