My baby is going to hit 6 months in another 10 days, she passes stool once in 4 or 5 days. Today she had dark green stool, it was quite smelly. otherwise she is active, passes urine normal, though cough is there at times. We did introduce few solid foods last week. Now this dark green stool is worrying me. what should we do?

A. hi usually it is normal among young babies to pass green stool and to pass stool once in 7 days or 10 times in a day. in breastfed babies ,it is caused by imbalance between foremilk and hindmilk. so feed your child on each breast at least 20 minutes so he or she can get full fat hindmilk well. make changes in your diet also as it might be a reaction to the food. but jf condition remains same then please consult your pediatrician

A. I thnk until 6months completes u shouldn't introduce any solids to baby.. my doctor suggested me this.. my baby als hit 6monthz in 10days.. my doctor said to me tat come on after she completes 6 i ll tell all the procedure about solid introducing to baby.. I hope u consulted ur doctor too.. if she passes urine more than 8times and poops in 4 or 5days its ok.. no problem in tat..u shud not worry..

A. we also used to give cumin water to the baby for passing the stool.
