A. Nighttime coughing in babies can be caused by common colds, allergies, or mild reflux. To help ease your baby’s cough, keep the room humid with a cool-mist humidifier and elevate the baby's head slightly during sleep to reduce postnasal drip. Make sure the baby is well hydrated and avoid exposure to smoke or strong odors. If the cough is persistent, worsening, or accompanied by fever, difficulty breathing, or poor feeding, consult your pediatrician promptly for proper diagnosis and treatment.
