Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child
and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the milk.
if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping .
there is no need to to go for fixed sfeeding pattern.
also there is no need to wake up the child from sleep if the weight of the child is within normal limits .
also if the weights gain of the child every month is normal then no need to worry regarding the pattern of breastfeeding
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. Feedings are still typically about every three or four hours, but each breastfed baby may be slightly different. At 4 months, they can go eight hours at night without feeding; by 5 months, they can sleep for 10 or 11 hours straight. Both 4-month-olds and 5-month-olds will sleep four to five hours during the day, spread out over three naps.most babies are showing interest in foods if you're eating around themOffer a variety of single-grain cereals such as rice, oatmeal or barley. Avoid feeding your baby only rice cereal due to possible exposure to arsenic. Add vegetables and fruits. Gradually introduce single-ingredient pureed vegetables and fruits that contain no sugar or salt. It's a good idea to wait until around 6 months before introducing solid foods because: breast milk or first infant formula provide the energy and nutrients your baby needs until they're around 6 months old (with the exception of vitamin D in some cases)Solid foods may be introduced in any order. However, puréed meats, poultry, beans and iron-fortified cereals are recommended as first foods, especially if your baby has been primarily breastfed, since they provide key nutrients.
