Q.

my baby is a month old. I was diagnosed GDM at 34th week of pregnancy. Had delivery at 36th week. Since her birth, she was hospitalized twice for phototherapy. Now, she hasn't passed stool since 2 days. Is it normal or should I consult Dr?

A. If baby is taking the feed normally and is active and playful as before there nothing to worry about you only need to consult with your doctor if baby is More cranky due to abdomen pain otherwise you can wait till even five days ,if the baby is not passing stools

A. Constipation. Your newborn should have a bowel movement at least once a day during the first month. If they don't, call your doctor, as the baby may not be eating enough. After that, a formula-fed infant should have at least one a day, but breastfed infants can go several days or even a week without one.
