Q.

My baby is 9 months 27 days old on Saturday night he fell on the floor while playing on back of his head and from yesterday onwards he is having fever but he is active as before and also playing also he is suffering from cold and cough from last 5 days .is this fever reason of felling down .I am really so worried

A. Any Fall injury specially head injury needs to be assessed properly . In any such case certain symptoms needs to be checked like loss of consciousness reccurrent vomiting or any abnormal moment or convulsions . Such case needs immediate medical intervention as there could be some internal injury . Otherwise application of ice locally to reduce the swelling and pain can be done along with some analgesic like paracetamol. Recurregyynt fall injury for a child should be avoided as it can lead to some chronic manifestations occasionally . Also teeth injury should be rule out in any such case which is commonly associated and can be eastily missed out most of the time .
