Q.
My baby is 9 days old.Till day before yesterday he was sleeping for almost 18 hours .From yesterday he is sleeping around 22 hours .Is this normal pattern of sleeping for a new born?? Potty n susu are ok.Almost 5-6 times a day.Kindly advise

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is newborn just 9 days old and he is sleeping bit more than before so see if he has a neonatal jaundice or hypoglycaemia and consult with paediatrician

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. it is quite natural that most of the babies will be sleeping 1820 hours per day in the neonatal period if the baby is taking feeding normally passing stool and urine adequately do not worry
