My baby is 8 month old but her weight only 7.3kg and now not increasing, her birth weight is 2.9 kg what to do for increase weight plz suggest me?

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist7 years agoA. weight for the age of baby is normal, do not worry. baby should triple the birth weight by one year. for healthy weight gain, give adequate Quantity and frequency of top food. give homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups consistency of food should be like that of Ghee soft and mashed food avoid fruit juice and soup you can give food like homemade cerelac, cereal pulse, porridge, kheer, cooked seasonal vegetable puree or add to food like khichdi, vegetable Dal rice. seasonal fruits curd paneer you can give eggs and other non veg food you can add powdered nuts to baby's food add Ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible give food three times a day and up to half katori every time continue to breastfeed baby.

Hi.. weight is quite good...if your baby is active, playful, achiving all milestones at time and taking feed normally than don't worry for weight.. at this stage teething also occurs...which causes anorexia..and weight gaining rate get slower... minimum 300 grams weight should be gain in a month.. as baby start activity like sitting, rolling, crawling, standing.. their most of the calories consume in it...give 3-4 solid feeds a day, along with bm/fm. Maintain proper hygein.

priyanka aroraMom of a 10 yr 8 m old boy7 years agoA. your baby's weight is perfectly normal and it is in normal range it is not compulsory that every month weight will increase a strict grams of kgs make sure your babies eating healthy diet if he is feeding well active and weight is in normal range then no need to worry about anything make him habit of eating all fruits and vegetables
