My baby is 7 months old and having tongue tie since birth I have visited various ent doctors and all have suggested to wait for at least 1-2 years for release of tongue tie. will it affect the speech of my child if it is not released and what are the issues with babies having tongue tie?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. the child will have difficulty in talking and will not be able to talk many words properly so it is advisable that you should go for the surgery if the tongue tie is causing problem in the speech
