My baby is 7 month old. She is having fever from last 2 days.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose ovuf 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. b
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl2 years agoA. Idhu fever last for more than 72 hours then in that case will have to go ahead with for the check up like blood test or something to new do know if your child is having any more issue that is why the fever could be coming so please check with your doctor
