Q.
my baby is 7 month and 14days old .He is having chest congestion ,no fever , coughing sumtimes what medicine should I give to him

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives temedicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever ids there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Please do not self medicate your child if there is an issue that your child is going through that the right thing that you can do as of now is to consult your doctor and go ahead with a medicine suggested by then I would not advise you to self medicate your child
