Q.

my baby is 6 month old..I started semi solid ragi..how can I calculate the amount of food given at a time for my baby..how I know the given quantity is enough for my baby

A. No need to calculate, first few days baby way spit up and refuse. but as days pass they will be used to it and have it when they r hungry. breastfeed the baby 1 hour before giving solids. When they r hungry then u can start feeding porridge or puree to baby until they refuse it. they will have just few tiny spoons of it. can give few spoons of water in between to make them comfortable to swallow. If they will enough or full then they will refuse or start to cry then u can stop it else u can feed them 1/4th bowl of semi solids if they r okay with it. Am doing the same with my baby and he is very much fine.

A. quantity of food give one spoon then after 3 to 4 days two spoons then after 3 to 4 days three spoons in similar way once a day and then twice a day and three times a day you can give ragi porridge wheat porridge rice porridge Dalia sabudana khichdi cerelac puree mashed fruits and vegetables remember one new food one at a time
