Q.
My baby is 51 days old she is 2.7 kg when she was born but now she is 3kg is it normal or not.. she is on breastfeeding and no formula milk is used..

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. Dear mum, a weight gain of 300 grams in 51 days is slightly less. However, if your baby is active, alert, passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours, achieving all growth milestones then do not worry. You should continue to exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
