Q.
my baby is 5 months old now for the past 2weeks he is continuously having loose motion we met a pediatrician he gave colistop drops 5mg and we gave it for 2days then loose motion got curred again it started now it's like a mucus also there when he poop what should I do now started seeing mucus for the last 3days

it's all because of the madicine's(tonics).
after u Stop to give tonics, they day by day starts to poop normally.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite .
supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration goshould be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose .
Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
