my baby is 5 months old having stools in blood may I know the reason

A. the child is suffering from acute gastroenteritis (either viral or bacterial) examination is needed by the doctor for need of antibiotics. can give probiotics like econorm / sporolac / enterogermina one to two times as per dr's recommendations. s ors to be given if loose motion is in more quantity to prevent dehydration and ensure adequate glucose level in the body.

A. Many babies will have blood in their stool at least once during infancy. Straining to poop, small anal fissures, and other minor conditions may cause blood streaks in a baby's stool.
