A. finger, thumb, hand, things insertion in the oral cavity is very normal at this stage and usually it is due to teething pain the child is experiencing along with inflammation and pain in the gums. just maintain hygiene of the child finger as well as any type of things which goes inside the oral cavity and also try to maintain the hygiene of your finger when you are touching the hands of the child. to decrease the teething pain you can press the gums of the child and if the child is very irritable and crying for pain you can give paracetamol l also. it is a self limiting habit and no treatment is required. but if hygiene is not maintained then dirty things going inside the oral cavity can cause infection fever vomiting and loose motions.

A. hey.. it's absolutely normal.. it can be because of teething, try massaging using a silicon brush that's available on first cry or provide fruit nibblers with little cold fruits inside ( not too cold ) to soothe the pain Or even good quality teethers.. sometimes the babies are just soothing themselves which is absolutely fine ❤.. my girl soothes herself to sleep and releases the thumb herself when once she's fallen asleep.

A. Hello dear parent! Check if your baby is teething. Gently press your child’s gums with a soft cotton cloth dipped in cold water to reduce teething symptoms. Engage your baby with Babyhug teethers. Good luck and take care
