My baby is 5 month old shall I start solids to him

A. It's generally recommended to wait until around 6 months before introducing solid foods to a baby. At 5 months, your baby's digestive system may not be fully ready for solids, and breast milk or formula should still provide all the necessary nutrients. However, some babies show signs of readiness a little earlier. Here are signs to look for to see if your baby might be ready for solids: 1. Good head control: Baby can hold their head up steadily. 2. Sitting up with little support: Baby can sit up without or with minimal assistance. 3. Interest in food: Baby watches you eat, reaches for food, or opens their mouth when food is offered. 4. Loss of tongue-thrust reflex: Baby no longer automatically pushes solids out of their mouth with their tongue. If your baby shows these signs, you could consider starting small amounts of solids, but it's best to consult your pediatrician before doing so.
