Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. no it's not recommended Cow's milk should be given to the baby only after completion of 1 year of age because the protein and fat in cow's milk is hard to digest before that and many a times there could be cow's milk protein allergy in babies and lactose intolerance which could be severe sometimes.
Also early introduction of cows milk can lead to iron deficiency anemia as cow's milk lacks iron and vit c . Also there could be micro bleeding in intestine because of the heavy protein of cow's milk .To start with cow's mfilk should be given than gradually you can shift to buffalo milk or a packet milk which is a mixture of two .

Only for initial six months you have to go with breastfeeding or formula feeding any kind of animal milk after the age of 13 months so as of now you continue with the mail that you are giving to the child apart from that no animal milk before the age of 13 months
