Q.
my baby is 5 month old and she's facing little nose blockage due to cold and little cough ... she don't have running nose... could you please priscribe wat we can give for her

Lata NegiMom of 2 children3 years agoA. put saline water in nose before every feed, as it is not harmful for babies, the same situation was happened with my 5 month old daughter earlier and my pediatric suggest me saline only.

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which sdhould be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reducre the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
