Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. if the consistency of the stool is normal that is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency of the stool.
the frequency can vary for 4 to 5 times per day and sometimes the child will not pass stool for few days also.c
Also do no worry about colour and smell of the stool when stoocl consistency is semisolid to solid.
you have to meet the dr only if it is totally watery stool or it is hard stool or the child is having pain while passing the stool.
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. When a breastfed newborn poops after every feeding during the first few weeks, take it as a good sign – it means they're getting plenty of milk. Even though formula-fed babies may have less frequent bowel movements than breastfed babies, it's normal for them to poop after every feeding as well.
