Q.

my baby is 4and half months old.Right from birth he drinks formula feed only ... if he sleeps in night he is sleeping continuously for 6-7 hours not even drinking milk is it ok to leave so much gap. after 3 hours if I give milk also he is not at all opening his mouth he sleeps.Is it ok to leave so much TIME GAP without drinking milk?

A. yes if growth is good no need to worry you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the milk. if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping . there is no need to to go for hourly feeding pattern. also there is no need to wake up the child from sleep if the weight of the child is within normal limits
