Q.

my baby is 4 months old and won't sleep at night she sleep from morning 5 to afternoon 1 PM and then she won't sleep at all. she will have mostly 10 hours sleep in total 24 hrs. what should I do for her better sleep and should I worry about her sleeping hours

A. Sleeping pattern in children may be variable in different age group so if the baby is active and taking proper feeding with no other complaints most of the time there is nothing to worry. You have to just see the child should not be uncomfortable which may be because of factors like temperature of the room nasal blockage some discomfort like infantile colic or hunger. In older children a proper discipline is requiredgyy so that the sleepiyng pattern can be scheduled according to a proper time try to avoid too much of screen time with sometimes can be the causative factor for disturbed sleep.

A. It’s good for a child to sleep for at least 8 to 12 hours in this duration as a minimum time we are talking about but if your child is active showing no sign of discomfort with 10 hours sleep when there is no problem with that because the child is taking the minimum amount of sleep in a day which is good enough but yes if the child is not sleeping till late in the night it would be good if you consult her doctor regarding this
