Q.

My baby is 4 months and 6 days old. He poops once in 3 -4 days and he is completely on breastfeed. But he farts a lot that is also stinky. Sometimes right after having milk he farts very smelly. I eat veggies like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, peas all seasonal veggies and fruits. Should I worry or visit the doctor for why he farts a lot and smelly one???? Please suggest or help???

A. As per my experience, you are not to worry about poop. it's very common problem in babies. All you have to do is,just watch is your baby passes urine more than 5 to 6 times and (once on 3 to 4 days)poop was loose or soft but not too hard. And coming to farting it was not a bad thing . by farting baby gets relief from gastric gases.

A. okay no treatment required if the baby is on mothers milk. small babies will be having lot of gas because of various reasons it is advisable to do burping of the baby immediately after feeding please give colimex DF drops to the baby they are safe

A. You are saying that your child is not passing motion every day which is why the child is farting a lot and it is stinking because the child is not passing motion so need not worry about it this is completely normal and farting is a good sign at least you know that your child is not having stomach pain pain which all good
