my baby is 4 month old,in his stool I saw a small thread like red in colour,I don't no whether it is blood or anything.i had given tonoferon drops in the morning wil it comes in poop.pls clarify my doubt

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 3 years agoA. Mostly blood in stool is present when baby is having constipation and passing regularly hard stools so you should increase more of liquid diet to the baby And include more of green leafy vegetables and fruits, which has fibers

If it is red then it is because of blood only or it is blood only as practically if you think of it you not giving anything to the child apart from rest or formula feeding whatever you are giving so it could be because of that an infection in the stomach because iron supplement does not lead to stomach infection
