My son is 3yr 4months and when he gets angry he runs from one end of the house to other In order to express his anger and starts banging his head on the sofa and cushions and starts hurting himself or biting. I'm so tensed and was thinking to consult a doctor to know if this is normal. I watched a video in YouTube and the symptoms were mentioned in autism. Please help/suggest

That he cannot get everything he wants and sometimes there are restrictions which he could not get used to initially. This will show up as tantrums and sometimes even through violence. Whenever your toddler hurts himself or others or cries or shows aggressive behaviour , hug him and explain to him with love that it is not the right way to ask something. Keep on repeating this and show how he can let out his anger without hurting himself or anybody or crying or being aggressive and stay cool. Also don't give up fearing for his tantrums and give everything he asks for. Then he will keep on repeating this. Try to console him by hugging, cuddling and calming him down. But never give what he asks for unless it is really necessary. Even those things which u can give him, give it before he throws a tantrum. Otherwise he will get into the belief that he can get anything through his crying and hurting. Set up a reward system and encourage him through rewards for his good behaviour.
