my baby is 2yrs 4 month old..having fevver..I hve p120 in house what dose should i hve her now

Author of questionFather of a 5 yr 6 m old child3 years agoA. thnku sir for ur valuable suggestions.she is 2yrs 4month old .weight 14 kg ..still not understand what ml shoul d i give her now... i hve given her 6 ml of p120 at 11.30pm.but m not sure dis is the right dose or not

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. h
Adequate fluid gyintake is also beneficial.
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .
