Q.
my baby is 2month old suffering from cough and cold from last Saturday. we had consulted the paediatrician , he advised nasal drop and asthakid syrup..now cough has reduced.. he s feeling little better, but he s not taking formula feed from 2days.. breast milk s not sufficient to him.. also not passed stool from 2,days

Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor after the exact cause is diagnosed.it may be any infection or it may be allergic too.it may be associated with fever too for which calpol can be given. As the first line of treatment for relief you can give steam inhalation which would be quite helpful .to relieve blocked nose nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times. Cough Syrup should be given only after a proper evaluation according to the type of cough .self medication may not be so helpful so please consult your doctor once. if the cough is productive you can give brozepet-ls or ambrodil syrup for now only n continue only after doctor's advice.
