my baby is 20 months old but he doesn't point with index finger but shows the whole hand is it normal

That’s okay if the child is even pointing at something with the whole hand then also it’s not a problem because at least if your child is understanding it well enough then it’s not an issue the child is going to learn if you start teaching how the finger is meant to be pointed
