Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. yes the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or morex is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperaturex water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
