my baby is 2 months old can i give her cow or buffalo milk

A. Cow's milk or buffalo milk is too heavy for a baby's stomach at this age. Exclusive breastfeeding is advisable till the time the baby completes 6 months of age. In case breast milk production is low, after consulting with your doctor, you can offer formula milk. Cow's milk or buffalo milk can be introduced only when the baby turns one year old. Babies during their first year of life need lots of iron to grow. Cow's milk has less iron content when compared to breast milk or iron fortified formula milk. So cow's milk, if introduced at this age can cause iron deficiency Anemia.
