Q.

My baby is 2 months 24 days old...he drinks only 40-50 ml milk after 2 to 3 hours a day and in night he drinks 40-50 ml in night and then take feed only one time in between...and then take feed in the morning... He is passing urine 8-9 times a day

A. The milk consumption varies with each child. As long as he is active, gaining weight, passing urine and motions well, you need not worry. Continue feeding him on demand. You can try to increase the quantity a bit more.

A. My daughter was also a very less drinker, she was on my feed and use to take two to three times only in a day plus just once or max twice in night. I had to pump my milk and keep it aside because of her less consumption. But this was ok as some kids prefer sleep rather then eating. But you should try giving milk at intervals also make sure burp is given properly after every drink else milk in not digested properly.

A. the urine output is good the milk consumption should be around 90 ml and at gap of a round 3 hours max so you'll have to feed the baby a little more frequently in comparison to what you are doing now
