Q.
My baby is 2.6 years old. she started speaking 2 words sentances in English recently. we have been speaking to her only in English from the beginning. she never spoke any of our mother tongue words, but she understands few of them though. can we start teaching her our mother tongue at this age (2.6years) or she will get confused and forget English as well. ?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age
then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age .
just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly.
if the speech does not comes even by three years of agfre you nfeed to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .

U Wait as of now let your child be through with one language at least if you teach another language as of now your child is going to get confuse and your child will not reach anywhere so it’s really very very important for you that as of now you do not go ahead with teaching any other language to the child
