My baby is 1month old...she s suffering from cough nd cold...so yesterday I went to doctor...doctor prescribed me eltocin syrup 2ml...my baby s sleeping a lot...is 2ml s overdose for 1month baby?plz anyone tell me...i m so worried..plzzz really experts

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viral illness there could be associrated symptoms like cough and fever which needs tryeatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .
