Q.
my baby is 18 months now. I want to stop breastfeeding also. but am confused how to do it. also how to introduce cow milk to my baby.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist9 months agoA. d3ar mum, good that u breastfed until 18 mths now it is advisable that u continue till 24 mths as it strengthens immunity and provides nutrition as well. dont worry it does not become habit it shd b stoppwd gradually drop one feed every week

NiharikaMom of a 5 yr 11 m old boy9 months agoA. you have to do it gradually, start his food intake during the day... give him meals in place of milk.... it will surely happen but slowly once the child develops taste of food items

Author of questionMom of a 2 yr 4 m old boy9 months agoA. thank you so much doc. I'm planning till 2 yrs only. but I hv heard that it takes time for it to stop like 3 to 4 months. and was wondering if he will be able to stop after 2 yrs or not , was just worried about it.
