Q.
my baby is 17 days old... due to phototherapy her lips have become dark and dry... what can be done to fix it?

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist7 years agoA. it will improve eventually wipe after each feed. . more you feed your baby, more is the stimulation and more is the breast milk production. also relaxed mind , love for the baby, confidence while feeding help in oxytocin release and hence augment milk production. maintain good diet, hydration.

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. Hello, its common after phototherapy..Use good quality of extra moisture baby lip balm . you can also apply Desi ghee... Put some drops of Desi ghee or anything oil inside navel daily ... Keep feeding Every 2-3 hourly and on demand..to maintain Hydration of baby skin.

Dt Ritu PuriGuardian of a 8 yr 8 m old girl7 years agoA. Hi yes apply ghee on babys lip or milk malai it will get fine abd ideally keep feeding baby well it will help baby to gave right color for babys lips Also breast feed baby well.

priyanka aroraMom of a 10 yr 8 m old boy7 years agoA. don't worry keep breastfeeding your baby regular after small intervals make sure after breastfeeding clean his lips with wet cotton and you can also apply breast milk on his lips
