A. At 13 months, your baby can enjoy a variety of foods. Here's a sample Indian diet for a 13-month-old: **Breakfast:** - Idli or dosa with sambar or chutney - Oats porridge with milk - Sliced banana or other soft fruits **Mid-Morning Snack:** - Soft chapati pieces or puffed rice (murmura) - Small cubes of paneer (cottage cheese) **Lunch:** - Rice or chapati with dal (lentils) or a mild curry - Cooked and mashed vegetables (carrots, peas, potatoes) - Curd (yogurt) **Afternoon Snack:** - Fruit slices (apple, pear) or a fruit smoothie - Wheat or rice-based snack (like poha or upma) **Dinner:** - Khichdi (rice and lentils cooked together) - Mashed or pureed vegetables - Roti with a mild vegetable curry **Before Bed:** - Breast milk or formula Ensure that the food is cut into small, manageable pieces to avoid choking hazards. It's important to offer a variety of foods to meet nutritional needs. Introduce new foods gradually and watch for any signs of allergies. Always consult with your pediatrician for personalized advice based on your baby's specific needs and preferences.
