Q.
My baby is 11 months old, day before yday she was having nasal congestion, dr prescribed saline drops, sinarest. but from yday she started to cough, dr prescribed kofarest-pd 3 times a day. but there is no improvement in cough. can u pls suggest any other thing. my baby is not sleeping properly m really tensed. still how mnay days it will take to recover.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever.
Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants .
steam inhalatiogn would be beneficial .
Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold can bee given in a proper dose according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
