Q.

My baby is 10 month old. his weight is 9kg right now and birth weight was 3.5kg. His lips always looks dry since last month. I think he is not fully hydrated. I'm breastfeeding him and also offer water many times a day but he drinks only 10-12 spoons in a day. What should I do?? He wakes up 3-4 times in night time for feed and sooth himself.

A. I also give him 3 full meals in which I usually give him fruit and vegetable puree, homemade cereals, oats cereal, lotus seed cereal, ragi porridge, fruit pulp, with 1 tsp of protein powder 3 times in a week and at snacks time I breastfeed him and also offer him water many times but sometime he drink few spoons of it but usually he refuse to take it even though I tried giving him water in different ways like in sippy cup, open cup, using spoon etc. That's why I breastfeed him on a regular interval just to hydrate him. Also He takes 2 naps of 1 hour each in day time and 12 hour sleep at night. But he keep waking up at night.
