Q.

my baby is 1 year...she always sucks her thumb often like when she meet someone new, during sleep .I divert n play with her still she doesn't.please suggest me how do I stop her from thumb sucking.

A. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go . In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the child comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the childxd . In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .

A. The I’ll maybe in the process of having its teeth which is why your child is being very naughty and common behaviour of a child to behave like this I don’t think so you do have an issue with it and still if you feel that’s not the issue then you can get it checked once with your doctor
