Q.

my baby is 1 year and 3 months old..he is having fever on and off n heavy cold...my doctor told he is having wheezing..i am worried is that something lifelong...also he suggested salbutamol sulphate syrup which is used to treat asthma..doctor used nebulizer yesterday..he was crying for continuosly...one more concern is doctor checked his heart rate after nebulizer procedure n it was 196 ..is that normal??

A. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very ugseful . Meditcines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .
