Q.

my baby is 1 month old. I use similac for her milk. I am finding her highly constipated to the point that she is not able to poop by herself evn after she tries to push so hard. please help.

A. normally hardness of the stool is not seen when you are giving only breastfeeding to the child. it is advisable to continue only breastfeeding and nothing else till completion of 6 months of age. if still the hard stool continues you have to visit the doctor to find the cause. but if you are giving formula milk then there is a possibility that the milk is not properlyx digested by the child and you will have to change the brand of formula milk. also do not give any food to the child except milk at this age.

A. Add some fennel seeds into the water that you boil for making formula feeding that is going to help in reducing down gas constipation and stomach pain issues also if you are making milk like 30 to 60 ML so just add little less milk powder into the water like suppose to take 60 ML of water take one and a half scoop of milk that would be easier or lighter for the child to digest
