Q.

My baby is 1 month old. Her birthweight is 3.4 kgs and she has gained only 400 grams in this month. I am weaning her off from supplementing formula and trying to exclusively breastfeed. Should i go ahead?

A. Dear mum, gain of 400 grams in the first month is fine, do not worry. It is best to exclusively breastfeed your baby till 6 months complete. Avoid giving formula.

A. hi yes dear mom..go ahead with exclusive breast feeding....baby should ideally double birth weight by three to six months and triples birth weight by completion of one year.. if babya pee count is more then six in twenty four hours it means baby is full and is getting sufficient feed from you
