A. Breastfeeding simply works on demand and supply. Unless you have some hormonal imbalance issue which also can be tackled with medication. Dairy milk is not advisable until baby turns 1 year old. Alternatives to breastmilk are donor milk or formula milk. If you feel you have a low supply please do meet a lactation consultant

A. Hi, If Breastmilk is not sufficient, then go for formula instead of opting for cow milk as your baby has not yet turned 1. WHO recommends no cow or Buffalo milk until the baby turns 1. Hence, go for Aptamil Gold stage 1 formula as it contains Prebiotic HMOs. They are super nutrient, which are the 3rd largest component of breastmilk and Aptamil Gold is the first brand in India to have Prebiotic HMOs. Prebiotic HMOs helps improve digestion of the baby and improves stool frequency and softness. Just make sure to consult your doctor before starting formula. I am giving Aptamil Gold stage 2 to my 8 months old.
