Q.

my baby is 1 month old, cry a lot during potty and urination in morning,same time there is fullness in stomach , he have gas problem, i am giving colicaid but my baby dont take it and cry a lot, we also gave them burb, but there is lot of gas , sleep in daytime, and cry in night, some body advice to give gripe water or neopeptine, what should i do please advice me , thank you

A. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age. sometimes this can continue for one year of age also. it usually occurs due to the distention of the urinary bladder and rectumd of the child. the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is crying if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatrician for examination.
