Maintain proper position while feeding your baby. Keep baby's head and neck at an angle so that they are higher than the tummy. This makes sure that the milk goes down to the stomach and the air comes up. Do not forget to tip the bottle such that the air rises to the top and does not accumulate near the nipple. Take a break every 5 mins while feeding your baby and gently tap his back to help him burp. Tummy massages help. Lay the baby on his back and gently rub the belly in a clockwise motion and then run the hand down the curve of his tummy. This helps the gas move easily through the intestines. Massage your baby with warm mustard oil and then a warm water bath. This also helps to relieve the gas problem.
