HomeQuestions & Answersmy baby have mild flat head plagiocephaly. he is 3 months old now. I'm regularly changing his sleeping position to the other side and rarely giving tummy time (he still doesn't like it, just spends 2-5min time). will it correct naturally by itself or is it too late now?
I'm worried not just about the flat area but also his top of the head since I feel it's still high above the head and also elongated (like cone head). will it correct by itself or need to be treated?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Flat head in Babies is very common mostly on one side initially when the baby is not flipping on the sides in the first few months . so because of the continuous pressure over the soft skull bones such flattening can be there . This will become normal by itself gradually when the skull grow in size and shape with age . No musturd seed pillow or any such kind of interventionde like massage is required for the corrrction .
