my baby has swelling at backside on spinal cord down side and hair since birth. doctor suggested mri brain.Is it suugestable to 13 months baby . And how come brain MRI decides about spinal card pleaae guide me

A. its very important to do MRI as soon as possible. investigation should always be done on time to avoid any complications. try to consult your paediatrician for proper examination of the child and start treatment as advised

MRI can detect a variety of conditions of the brain such as cysts, tumors, bleeding, swelling, developmental and structural abnormalities, infections, inflammatory conditions, or problems with the blood vessels. It can determine if a shunt is working and detect damage to the brain caused by an injury or a stroke.
