Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce thge temperature anhd the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .
Sonam PrasadMom of 2 children3 years agoA. hi dear When that runny nose may be something else. If your baby's runny nose isn't a symptom of teething, your baby most likely has a cold. Colds become more common around 6 months of age. If your baby is otherwise healthy, a cold with little to no fever doesn't warrant a trip to the doctor, unless you're concerned.
