Q.

My baby has mucus in her stool for the past 2 weeks.Gave probiotic, antibiotic,zn drops ever.but still the problems continues.she also has substance like curd in the poop..and Dr also told that she may have milk intolerance.so he told me to stop all the dairy products iam taking.last day the doctor told that if it still continues after taking all these medicines this may be normal and nothing to worry and please change the diet of my baby also.anf he gave me a baby food .I gave it yesterday evening..today morning my baby poops have blood streaks in it.Is it something to worry? Do I want to do stool test of my baby?

A. dear mom. blood and mucus is seen ur babys stool, ot is not normal at all. kindly do furtger consukt ur babys doctor in person for furtger investigation n treatment

A. I have done the stool test of my baby.Report is attached below.Doctor gave antibiotic and she had recovered from this..but saturday again the mucus had found.Dr told me to stop breast milk for her and to gave lactose free formula..but she was not drinking it during night.so I continued breastfeeding.Dr also suggests to do blood tests. CBC PT INR and also USG ABDOMEN. Actually iam really worried by hearing all these things.shall I want to completely stop breastfeeding.or will she recover from this intolerance naturally

A. Is this red colour blood into the poop of your child because if it is then it’s an infection and mucus can also be assigned for infection sometimes if the child is in feeling better I would suggest you to conduct a stool test for your child that’s going to give you a clear picture of the problem and accordingly you can go for further treatment
