Q.
my baby has dry cough, he coughes 1-2 times a day, no sputum.... like a loud cough, I am giving him mucolite drops . is it okay ?

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 2 months old and he is having a dry coughs so give him 1 ml Tixylix coughs mixture three times a day and indirect steam inhalation

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if requigdred .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl4 years agoA. 1-2 I am coughing is completely normal there is nothing that you have to give as of now you do not have to give any medicine to the child but even if it is allowed it is one or two times that does not necessarily means that your child is having coughing it could be due to feeding also
